CASA of Los Angeles is excited to announce Charity Chandler-Cole as our new CEO! Please join us in welcoming Charity as she continues our momentum of growth and brings a new dynamic to our organization, after four years of leadership under Wende Julien.
With a unique perspective as CASA/LA’s first Black CEO and her direct experience as a former foster youth in LA County, Charity will be able to build upon our programmatic initiatives and commitment to addressing racial injustice in foster care.
Charity leaves her role as National Director, Contracts Administration with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and pivot from her position as CEO of Transformative Management Solutions (TMS), a consultancy Charity founded that is focused on aiding nonprofit, public and political organizations in implementing social, educational and racial justice as well as child welfare initiatives.
In addition, Charity also sits on several highly impactful committee boards, including her position of Chairwoman of the Board for the Anti-Recidivism Coalition and Commissioner for LA County Children & Families where she is also Co-Chair of its Racial Justice Committee.
One of Charity’s initial goals for CASA/LA is to pursue more active volunteers who align with the experiential backgrounds of the children and communities we serve.
Charity is currently finishing a Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice at Loyola Marymount University. She is a mother to four children, and relative caregiver to her nephew.
We look forward to introducing Charity to our entire CASA/LA family!
