After an extensive national search, Dr. Julia Bradsher has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of HMRI. Dr. Bradsher’s first day in her new role will be August 6th. Dr. Bradsher most recently served as President and CEO of the International Food Protection Training Institute (IFPTI) in Portage, Michigan from 2011 to the present. Prior to her tenure at IFPTI, she served as President and CEO of The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN), an organization focused on awareness and education regarding food allergies, informing public policy as it relates to people with food allergies, and advancing research on the cause and potential treatments. Before joining FAAN, she held leadership and management roles in the pharmaceutical industry.
Dr. Bradsher has occupied adjunct faculty positions at the University of California, San Francisco; Sonoma State University; and San Francisco State University, and she was a Research Scientist at the New England Research Institute. Dr. Bradsher was a post-doctoral fellow in the Pew Health Policy Program at the University of California, San Francisco Institute for Health Policy Studies. She received her PhD in medical sociology from the University of Miami, and an MBA from the Sawyer School of Management at Suffolk University in Boston.
