Braille Institute Of America Names Debra J. Martin As Chief Financial Officer

LOS ANGELES, CA

Braille Institute is pleased to announce the appointment of Debra J. Martin as their new Chief Financial Officer. Martin is a seasoned finance professional with more than 30 years of experience and an exceptional track record in driving financial performance and delivering strategic growth. She will oversee finance, accounting, business services and facilities operations for the organization.

Most recently, Martin served as the vice president for administration and finance, and CFO, at Mount Saint Mary’s University (MSMU) in Los Angeles. She was responsible for the oversight of MSMU’s $125 million operating budget and $160 million endowment. Martin previously served as vice president and associate dean for finance and administration at Loyola Marymount University’s law school, director for institute finance at California Institute of Technology, and director of financial management at New York University School of Law.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and attained her CPA in Rhode Island while working for KPMG early in her career.
